Hi there,

Very new to dotnetnuke and I was wondering, based upon my requirements, if the framework is right for me?

I would like to leverage the frameworks Membership/Roles providers for my site as well as using some of the modules (such as the forum) and integrate my own asp.net content.

I read on a few forums that dotnetnuke should really only be used if you plan to use nothing but dotnetnuke modules, but that doesn't sound right to me. Is it fairly easy to add your own active content (The admin guide doesn't cover this topic afaik)? Does it need to be added by way of designing new modules?

Sorry for the nOOb questions.

Thanks in advance for any info.

You can integrate existing asp.net content in a number of ways. The fastest is to use the IFrame module and pull your existing asp.net application pages in through a frame.

The more common and recommended long term approach is to convert your asp.net application to a DNN module in which it will better integrate into the platform.
