All, I'm new to DNN, but after working in a pre-fab DNN site I'm very interesting in learning more.  I feel like I've got a good business idea for making some extra money with DNN, but I need to be able to make my own skins and such.

I've already installed and setup DNN on my local box, went through the Quick Admin Guide, and with the help of these forums I've got the gist of the basics.  I'm stuck at where to get started from here to start creating my own skins.  I'll be the first to admit I'm not a developer, not even close, and most of my design work comes from using a WYSIWYG programs like Dreamweaver, btw I did download the VS 2010 Web Developer Express also.  I've goggled creating DNN skins and have pretty much been overwhelmed by the results, I've reviewed a lot of sites, but nothing seems to give me that "beginner'" type article or tutorial, at least not ones for free, that gives me that "How to create a Skin" for DNN, that I'm looking for.

If anyone has any suggestions on where to start, books, articles, tutorials, websites, etc please pass them along.  Obviously I'd prefer free info, but I guess sometime you have spend a little to make a little.

Thanks,
Bob

you should be familiar with HTML and CSS, before you start skinning. Otherwise you might prefer using a tool like Artisteer (www.artisteer.com). There is a skinning guide available from Resources > Documentation > Downloadable files in menu above. Besides, there are great tutorials at www.dnncreative.com
