I installed DNN and created a site before moving the domain name. Now the domain name is pointing to the correct directory but the URL keeps coming up "http://02f4d02.netsolhost.com/dotnetnuke/" instead of "www.detechsol.com" I see in the portals section that this is the URL for the default portal. Is there any way to change that, short of reinstalling the whole thing? The portal is not editable and when I created a new portal with the correct address and correct alias it did not affect the address changing in any way.

Thanks for any input

Ann

You can check the portal aliases Host->Portal Settings (I think that's the page).  Might just be that your site is set to use the wrong alias.

thanks,  I looked at the alias's. I see you can add them but I do not see in the admin menu or the host menu where to choose the alias for the address of the main 0 default portal.

Are there any other suggestions?

thanks again,
Ann

In the menu Host->Portals I get a list of each portal on my site, starting with portal 0. It lists the: Portal Id, Title, Portal Aliases, Users, etc. for each of them Clicking the pencil to the left of the portal I want to edit brings me to the portals settings page. One of the options there is portal aliases where you can modify each portal alias for that portal as you see fit.

You can even modify the root url for your site in Host->Host Settings (It's called Host Url).
