Hi,

I we are looking for a content management system that can provide the following :

  • Easy to move between servers (minimal setup)
  • Role system where I can decide what pages a user can access
  • Module for News that suports mail and RSS notifications
  • Module for forum
  • Possibility for none developer to administrate the site, decide what pages to publish and how the access/roles will be setup
  • Possible to create pages but not show them before thay are published
  • Possible to create pages where files are distrubuted in versions
  • Module for Online TV (Flash TV?)
  • Module for Online Chat
Pleas explain for me if any of these steps will be extra hard to accomplish or if its even possible without doing some development on our own? We are open for buying modules if thay provide good functionality.

  • Role system where I can decide what pages a user can access > included
  • Module for News that suports mail and RSS notifications > RSS yes, mail not supported out of the box, but from 3rd party vendors (e.g. ventrian.com)
  • Module for forum > included and there are advanced 3rd party solutions
  • Possibility for none developer to administrate the site, decide what pages to publish and how the access/roles will be setup > easy to use visual interface
  • Possible to create pages but not show them before thay are published > sure, even with option to show from/to a specific date
  • Possible to create pages where files are distrubuted in versions > there are a  3rd party solutions like DMX from Bring2mind.net
  • Module for Online TV (Flash TV?) > check out www.snowcovered.com for 3rd party modules
  • Module for Online Chat > simple module included, and a number of 3rd party modules available
Pleas explain for me if any of these steps will be extra hard to accomplish or if its even possible without doing some development on our own? We are open for buying modules if thay provide good functionality.
