ok so this is my first go at installing dnn and it's not going well. I'm using an older version because my dev and hosting environments are both using .net 2.0

i ran the install through the web wizard and it got to the database scripts page and did the aborting thread error (this seems to be a common error) so after some googling i clicked back and got to the first page and it said dnn was installed? so i went to my address bar and tried to get the site up, now i'm getting the following error

Domain Name 2xx.3xx.5xx.1xx Does Not Exist In The Database

Which is true because it doesn't exist, presumably because i didn't get all the way through the install. so what do i need to put in the portals and portalAlias tables to get it working?

Any pointers welcome.

As for doing a clean install, i suppose i could do this but the 2 times i tried doing this so far the database error has come back (further googling has turned up a collation error on sql server which i made sure i have the correct collation both on my database and my sql server) Also i have all the correct permissions setup.
