Hi there.
We are planning to use the community edition as our Intranet portal. I would like to know how I can get rid of Registration in the menu and the Terms and Privacy links in the footer because we don't need that in a company intranet. In addition I would like to know how to place something else in the footer.

I'm using Artisteer to make the skin and there is very little options to change the footer.

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks!
Kind regards
Kurt

It is easy, just delete the controls out of the markup. Edit the .ascx file for the skin and delete the line at the top that contains the registration for what you don't want in the skin. (i.e. TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="TERMS" ) the delete the corresponding control from the HTML below.

(i.e. \< dnn:TERMS.... >  )

Thank you for your reply.
I will try what you suggest and hopefully it works.

To remove Registration link, you can set the portal User Registration to None in the Site Settings page.  Follow the step below

  1. Login the portal with admin account (or host)
  2. Goto menu Admin > Site Settings
  3. Expand Advanced Settings
  4. Change User Registration to "None"
  5. Scroll down to bottom of the page and click on Update button
