Hi

I'm new to DNN and am tired fooling with Vista DNN installation. It's killing me with the permission issues on DNN files and installation process
Could someone share with us which DNN web hosting is the best bang for the buck for someone new like me to determine if DNN is worth pursuing
as a CMS ? I need good support too but competitive pricing and long free trial period.

Anyone with Win 7 DNN installation with 5.5.1 permission and installation issues  to work with SQL Server 2008 R2 ?

Thanks

Thanks Dylan for response. It's asking for $20/month. Anyone else with suggestions of DNN hosting cheaper than $20 ?

I recently placed a new client's site on DNN4Less (http://www.dnn4less.com)  shared hosting Silver Plan ($14.99/month) and have been very pleased with the site's performance and their support. Unlike other hosts which I have used for DNN sites that offer an automatic install of an older DNN version or no automatic install, DNN4Less gave an option of installing the latest (5.05.00 at that time) version of DNN when signing up for hosting. All went well with their automatic install which was ready to go in about 4 hours. I did find, however, that the AppPool identity user's permission had apparently reverted back to read/list only following the install. I was able to easily reset the permission on all child folders but not on the site root from the hosting control panel. Within an hour after I submitted a support ticket, the proper permissions were applied. I also found that while DNN4Less states in their FAQs that they allow remote access to the SQL database, that is not enabled by default and will only be enabled after providing the IP address from which you will be connecting. They also took care of that support request promptly and when I forgot to reply that the issue was resolved they sent an emal a day later asking if all was well or I needed further assistance. Their billing to the credit card on file is done monthly with the first 30 days being a trial period.
