Hi, I'm new to DNN..My comp wants to me create a new child portal and import all parent modules into child portal..wat i need to do..pls explain step by step....help me...

you may create a new portal in Host Portals and select "child portal" to run it in a subfolder of an existing domain. All module definitions will be available, but the child portal will have its own user base and content.

I created child portal and getting all modules of parent portal. i login into child portal(url is parentportal\childportal) succesfully..  if i click on any button to go next page in home page its giving error whereas the same page working fine while parent portal login.. I need to do anything after create child portal to access that.....thanks

couple of questions:
  • what DNN version
  • is this on localhost or in a hosted situation
  • is your DNN application running in the root of the hosting environment, or is it running in a subfolder itself already?
