I've recently moved my website to another server.
I tested the website, and ran into a time-out error, generated by DotNetNuke. I've got two questions about this:
1) What's the cause of this? (And what can I do about it?)
2) Is it possible to create a custom-made error-page myself? I do not want visitors to see the DotNetNuke-page. (Sorry :) )

Thanks in advance!

Timeout errors are normally associated with dnn not being able to access the database quickly enough.

With regard to a custom error page - if dnn is not able to access the information it needs to generate the most basic elements of your site - what is the skin, what are the contents of the menu - it has no option but to fall back to a core error page.

If you get your database connectivity sorted - your clients should never see such a page.

Ok, thanks, I understand.

I never had a problem with this, but recently I moved my DNN-installation to the production-server (so it's quite a bug actually).

What can I do to look for and solve the problem? I don't know anything about database connectivity, I was glad it worked in the first place:).

Thanks!
