When creating a custom module is there a preferred method for uploading files within the DNN environment or are standard .NET methods used? Additionally is there a standard for where any documents/files should be saved when uploaded thru a custom module?

I would typically use the URL Control if you want to allow people to access/upload files, this would allow people to have the same experience in your module as they would in other modules.

Something like

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="URL" Src="~/controls/URLControl.ascx" %>

ShowFiles="true"
ShowUrls="true"
ShowTabs="true"
ShowLog="false"
ShowTrack="false"
Required="False"
ShowNewWindow="False"/>

This looks like it should work for me.  However, I would like to limit it so that the only link type is 'File'.  How would I do that? Also, is there a way for me to eliminate the File Location drop down?
