I'll start by saying I've used DNN since 2007 but have never set the source solution up in any kind of source control repository.  I'm interested in finding what others have done.  Are you downloading the source project and checking that into your repository or just using the installed DNN website and checking that into the repository.  We are dealing with a lot of PCI compliance issues and had problems getting just the website into source control (SVN) so I am looking at this again to see if there is a better way to handle it.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to update the website when new versions of DNN came out somewhat easy but also be able to utilize source control to commit and checkout any changes we might have for new modules we are building.

Any comments/suggestions are welcomed!

Anyone using Tortoise? Anyone know how to get the file manager and telerik explorer to ignore .svn folders?
