Hello,

I did try to search on this problem and didn't get lucky. So I'm asking you for some help.

I just migrated my DNN website from one place to another. I followed the instructions on Mitchell Sellers' website. Everything is working fine except for this:

When I am logged in as an administrator or host, when I save something I get redirected to a wrong address.

My website address is currently IP/mywebsite.com and when I make a change I get redirected to ServerName/mywebsite.com.

In the Site settings I have added mywebsite.com, IP/mywebsite.com, ServerName/mywebsite.com (because I got an error telling me that it wasn't known and needed to be added to alias list).

So I can access the website only though IP/mywebsite.com, yet dnn seems to be using ServerName/mywebsite.com as a reference, (I can't delete or change it in the settings).

Any idea how to solve this?
If you need more information feel free to ask.

Thanks.

I think one of the reasons of the problem is that the website is hosted on ServerName/mywebsite.com and is accessed through IP/mywebsite.com which is another server.

But I still do not have any idea of how to solve that.

After deleting the ServerName/mywebsite.com in the database from portal aliases it still redirects me to it after a change.

Which DNN version are you using?
how are portal aliases configured in Admin :: Site Settings?

After adding a line in web.config I got back the message "ServerName/mywebsite.com isn't in databse" so I put it back and did the same trick with web.config.

Which DNN version are you using?

05.06.01 (238)

More info.

It happens when I change something in the website settings example: in admin/pages, admin/website settings, etc.

Just editing Text in normal pages do not have the bad behaviour.

Hope this helps to find the solution.
