the main thing is changed requirements -DotNetNuke 5.5 needs .net 3.5sp1 to be installed and requires sql 2005 or higher (whereas 4.9 supported .net 2.0 as the minimum and still worked for sql 2000)

But in virtual dedicated server(Go daddy) ,I have option .net 4.0 and 2.0.So for DNN 5.5,.net 4.0 is sufficient or i have to manually install .net 3.5.?Apart from that sql server is 2008 express editon.

.net 4.0 is fine - it's a requirement for a minimum of .net 3.5sp1
