Hello,

I'd like to start playing around with the latest version of DNN, which I believe is 6.

After looking around I'm still a little unsure about the hardware requirements. Is there an absolute minimum server and ASP combination for DNN? Or does each version have its own requirements?

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

the upgrade path wiki page has some notes about prerequisites per version - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Suggested_Upgrade_Path.aspx , but realistically all you need is .net 3.5SP1 and SQL2005 (or higher). DotNetNuke can use both the free sql express product or the full sql server product. As to server spec, there is no minimum requirement - lots of people run in shared hosting which allocates relatively little cpu or ram to a site (e.g. often less than 100mb per site)

I would have to agree with Cathal, there really aren't any requirements as SLQ goes when it comes to DNN. If you are going with a new version of SQL, you might as well go with SQL 2008 R2 Express since it supports up to 10Gb per database as opposed to 2005 express which I believe is at 4Gb.
