Some advice.
DO not use the solpart menu its old and not supported use the standard menu in dnn6.
Red and gray is part of the containers you have chosen.Do not change the search.asxx , style the search box with css

Thats for a start..

I agree...try not to use SolPart.  Both the DNN menu and the new (verison 6) DDR menu are a better choice.  That said you can put a <br> in your menu item to force a break (About the [br /] Hall)

You can style this within the skin ascx so don't modify the search acsx...it will get replaced on upgrade.  You can set the submit on the search control by adding the HTML you want to use within the skin object:

Code:

<dnn:SEARCH runat="server" id="dnnSEARCH"  CssClass="ServerSkinWidget" UseDropDownList="false" ShowSite="false" ShowWeb="false" Submit="<img src=&quot;images/search_button.png&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; alt=&quot;Search&quot; /&gt;" />

Not sure what you mean on number 3.

You can do this using CSS.  http://matthewjamestaylor.com/blog/keeping-footers-at-the-bottom-of-the-page

Good luck!  You are off to a great start!

Hi

Thanks a zillion both of you Mr. Jan Olsmar and Steven Webster for your precious time teaching me,
well the red and gray horizontal lines have been fixed by changing container from the page setting>> derodown, so I just apply the method to place an image instead of search text and it works wow, thanks again Mr Steven, i removed all the changes i made to search.ascx and place all those div tegs into relative .ascx files
, but one thing i want to do more, what is a default text into search input, like "Search Text here....also whenever one click on it this field should be empty , so i achieved this by making change into search.ascx,

CODE USED IN SEARCH.ASCX

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

here i want to ask you is there any other way to acheave my goal for search filed or what i did is Ok?

I understand about solePart and need to read about it to update my solepart menu to new version, then will discuss the trick work to break text into two lines for solepart, i used it with dnn5.8 too, is that the right way?

exectly what i want and did with css, here is the link, but same css i am suing under dnn skin, it dosent works , any idea??
i visited the link you sent me, so its the same what i wanted but not sure dnn6 will suppot

best regards shujaat
