I am converting a site that is currently using a PHP/MySQL CMS to use DNN. Is there an easy way to bulk upload images to the portal in a way which registers the images in the database so I can view them thru the HTML editor?

I used FTP to upload the files into the Images folder of a portal, but they don't appear in the folder when I try to insert them into content using the Telerik editor.

you need to log in as host and go to admin->file manager, select the folder and then click the recursive sync operation (note: there is also a scheduled task you can run that will do this for you but many people prefer to do the sync themselves rather than have the overhead of a scheduled task)

Thanks Cathal, the functionality is exactly what I was looking for. However, on my system it puts me at the root of the default portal. I need to access the root of portal 0, and I can't see a way to switch?

to access an indiviual portal root you go to admin->file manager for that portal i.e. effectively portals/ (host->file mananger goes to the host portal root i.e. effectively portals/_default)

Thanks! That was it. I guess I'd better go back and read the documentation...

Appreciate the help.
