Dear All,

I am very much new to CMS and DNN. I am already having my personal  website which is developed using C#.Net with ASP.Net.
I wanted to keep my site updated with a blog and interesting articles etc. Then i have done some research and switched to DNN.

Now below are my questions.

1. How can i built user registration page and  blog etc in my website.
2.I want to use my existing UI for the site that i will be developing how can i do that?
3. I want to keep my photos in website is there any DNN feature / module with code that i can use ready made?
4. what will be the best way to develop my site ? VSS or DNN?

Thank you for answering my silly questions too.....

  1. you need to build a new website based on DNN and migraate your content
  2. convert your design into a DotNetNuke skin (e.g. see skinning guide)
  3. single images may be added using HTML or Media module, for larger collection use a gallery module, e.g. dnngallery.codeplex.com (free), nice SimpleGallery from www.ventrian.com or free Flickr Gallery module from www.oliverhine.com)
  4. You cannot develop website sin Microsoft Visual Source Safe (VSS). you may install DNN using Microsoft Web Platform installer or WebMatrix and develop Modules using Visual Studio (or VWD Express).
