Good morning,

I am new at DotNetNuke and I can tell that so far this is an amazing software. I pass 20 hours straight learning the basics and I think I am doing pretty well.

Knowing that is not so easy sometimes to upload huge amount of data, I tested the upload to my web hosting server. I used the FileZilla to do so.

Everything went ok according to FileZilla, however, when I try to log on my site www.auto-caisse.com, it goes to this URL http://auto-caisse.com/Install/UnderC...

I am convince I missed something important to do, I hope someone can help me by direct me on the right track.

Thanks so lot

Claude from Quebec, Canada

I just saw a message this morning from Severance to Samuel, so I did also change my web.config file to

<customErrors mode="Off"/>

Then, I went back to the site and I didn't notice any change. Just in case someone will have suggest that...

Thanks

Claude

The "under construction" page usually comes up when their is a problem connecting to the site's MS SQL database.

When you move the site to your web server did you also backup the databse from your local installation and then restore it to your hosting provider's SQL server?

Also, did you modify the database connection strings in the site's web.config file with the new database server and other connection information?

Hi Bill,
I have contacted my website hosting that tells me that I can host only an MySQL database, here are the connection information:

Username: autocaisse992249
Database name: Logiciel_AutoCaisse_auto-caisse_com
Database type: MySQL5
sql5c9b.megasqlservers.com

In the web.config, I do not see anything for MySQL, do I need to add a connection string?

Thank you in advance

I'm sorry but DotNetNuke does not support MySQL - only MS SQL Server 2005 or 2008 including the express versions. You wil need to find a different hosting provider.
