Ok, second time I'm typing this since something went wrong apparently when I first Submitted.

ok, again: like the title says, I'm trying to get Default.aspx to not force a user to login to use my site. I simply want a publicly accessible landing page, specifically on a page I created in dnn, e.g. MyPage.aspx.

Also, I can't find any of my pages in the file system. Does dnn create these pages dynamically at runtime?

Thank for reading my noob questions.

Jason

Hi,

On the first question, just make sure that the View Page permissions (Pages > Page Settings > Permissions tab) is set to All Users. I suspect it is set to Admin at present. It's also worth checking that your landing page is set as the Home Page (Admin > Site Settings > Advanced Settings tab).

On the second question, yes, pages are created from database dynamically. You can see the pages by going to Admin > Pages.

Hope that helps!

Hey, you were right! Both answers clear up some issues for me. I found that the landing page didn't have permissions to be viewed by all. Discovering that the landing page is created dynamically helps me not look for a file to edit. I'm a software engineer turned entrepreneur, and it's been a couple years since I've developed any web apps. Regardless leaning what dnn does and doesn't do through it's case interface has been fun. ha.

Thanks again!

Jason
