Hi

I have installed the latest DNN and logged in as host. I then deleted the home page as I wanted to create a new home page. It would not let me do this as the original home page was in the recycle bin. So i went to the recycle bin and there were no options to permanently delete the page. I read that you needed to be logged in as admin to do this. So I tried to create an admin account by going to add user under tools and got the message "You are not authorized to edit this user." so now I am stuck. I thought host would have the highest user permissions?

Thanks

Hi, I suspect you are in View Mode. Switching to Edit Mode will resolve both issues (although the second becomes redundant as Host can indeed do everything an Admin can do and more).

I feel like a complete idiot! Yes you are correct I was in view mode. Thanks for pointing this out to me.
