Hi. I am new to DNN and just know this is a stupid question, but... I can't find the Announcements module - should it get installed by default? I am using DNN6 - It does not list in the Modules list. How can I get this module?

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul, only the HTML module is installed by default in DNN 6. You can download the Announcements module from CodePlex http://dnnannouncements.codeplex.com/releases/view/27403 Post up if you need any more info.

Thanks! So where do I go to get other standard out of the box DNN modules? CodePlex? Or is there an update package or something?

They are all on CodePlex, check out the 'Related Projects' panel to the bottom right of http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com/

But ... the new "deploy" feature in DotNetNuke 6 makes this so much easier (and SOOOO much more fun!).

Select the More Extensions tab on the Host, Extensions page. Search for the module you want (yes, all of the DotNetNuke modules are there) and then click the Deploy button. A few more mouse clicks and you will have downloaded and installed the module!
