The keywords I add to the Taxonomy (DNN Pro/Enterprise).

Is that indexed by the search engine and/or what's the relationship to the search engine?

Modules could inherit Taxonomy features use consume its data AFAIK.
I'm not sure if there is a direct 1 to 1 relationship with search engine meta tags but im guessing it would fall back on such data is there were no other meta keywords & description content.

You could probably programmatically access the variables in your apps and use them there for meta tag impressions...

AFAIK there is no connection between taxonomy and search. You may present your own Taxonomy Search (e.g. by using the TagCloud module from http://dnntagcloud.codeplex.com) and the Search Results page will present related content (pages, modules, HTML module content)
