Hi there,

I am new to dotnetnuke. My problem is due to URL rewriting. I want to know how query string has been structured in DNN. For example in this url:

http://localhost:2360/en-us/test.aspx

There is 2 query string: 1-language 2-tabid. It is worth to note that language value is en-us and tabid value is 81.

It seem some strange to me. How i can add a querystring parameter to this and how this querystring will affect the url. How i can remove some querystring parameter.

Thanks

If you're building links in code you should use DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.NavigateURL method.

If you're doing it in HTML and just want to add a querystring parameter you can just add ?PARAMNAME1=PARAMVALUE1&PARAMNAME2=PARAMVALUE2 etc

Hi Chris, \And thanks

But i want to add parameter to url like this:

http://localhost:2360/en-us/ID/2/test...

which passes ID as querystring with value 2.

Or for example i want to remove en-us(language querystring parameter), So my url should be like this :

http://localhost:2360/test.aspxy

If you want to remove the language parameter I would suggest checking out Ifinity's URL master module from The Store.

Also, the code I provided above will create a URL like the first one you reference

Use NavigateURL(TabId,"","ID=2")

where TabID is the id of test.aspx

the url will be /ID/2/Test.ASPX
