Can anyone help?

I am new to DNN and I am trying to set up my first site but I no matter what I do I cant see to get email working.  The website I have set up is very simple, a home page, About Us , A gallery page and a Contact Us Page.

In Host > Host Settings > Advanced Settings > SMTP Server Settings

I seem to have all the right details, in:

SMTP Server & Port - I have put in the name of my mail server
SMTP Authentication - Basic
SMTP Enable SSL - Unchecked
SMTP Username - I have a username for my SMTP server
SMTP Password - I have the appropriate password

When I 'Test SMTP Settings' I recieve an email.

My problem appears on my Contact Us page which contains a simple Feedback Form, I just get it to send an email.  I have now used 3 different Feedback Form Modules (DNN Quick Form, EasyForm, Feedback) and not one of them have sent me an email.  So I think its safe to assume its not the modules.

Can anyone suggest what I'm doing wrong? Any help would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks

Charlie

Did you check your spam folder? If module replaces "from" email header it can be recognized as a spam by the receiving server.

Thank you,

Thanks for the suggestion.

No it doesn't seem to be that, I use Parallels Plesk to administer the webserver and Spam Filtering is not set up.

I did check my Spam Folder in Outlook though just to be thorough, and no there was nothing in it.

Any more ideas?

Thanks for the help.

Charlie

It may require that you use a relay mail account and not a standard email account which is specifically made for this.

as stated before by Guy, please make sure, the SMTP server account has been granted Relay permission, i.e. neither FROM not TO needs to match the mail acccount or its domain.
