Hi. i am new to dotnetnuke and is currently doing a project for it. i just want to ask whether instead of opening the localhost server in the database engine, which is a period(.). can i open it in my own domain which is (MYDOMAIN\SQLEXPRESS). does this allow the installation to start? i can only log in to the database engine by my own domain but not the local server. Could you tell me what i should do to install dotnetnuke properly?

you may specify your SQL server by using localhost, machine name or IP address, followed by backslash and instance name (e.g. SQLEXPRESS), if not using default server instance.
