All right, this isn't my proudest moment - but hey, you only ask for help when you need help, right? So I'm right at the beginning of learning how to convert HTML to .aspx skins, and had only made one or two and was figuring out the mechanics of stuffing them in a .zip file and uploading them. The good news: I managed to upload (and DNN successfully extracted) the stupid little HTML document (which didn't even have a content pane, though I thought it did) that I was working with. The bad news: although I didn't think I was doing this, I seem to have told DNN that that stupid little skin should be my default skin - sitewide. So now, I can't get into my Extensions or Skin panels (or any other admin controls). I can log in to my install, because once I realized I had done that, I changed the skin back on the one page that I was already on.So the upshot now is that my site's home page, while blank, is accessible and I can use it to log in to my install. Trying to load any other page (like, say, 'Site Settings') throws a rod - a PageLoadException because there's no ContentPane defined in the stupid skin that I stupidly applied.________________________________________________So I figure I want to do one of two things, with FTP access. Either:1. Delete the stupid skin, assuming that DNN will revert to DarkKnight. Or2. Download another (totally functional) free skin, change its name (to, you know, 'stupidskin'), and load it onto the server to convince DNN to use it.Is there a third route that's better than either? I'm the dummy, so I'm willing to take suggestions (and my lumps)._________________________________________________Last thing, which I'll throw in in case it matters: my DNN install was done for a fee by a company that's going to be the host for this site once it's up and running. They opened up FTP access for me to, I think,\Portals\_default\Skinsand I write 'I think' because I don't see everything there that I'd expect to.The directory I'm accessing contains the subdirectories "DarkKnight," "_default" and "dreamy" (a sample skin I'd uploaded right before making this mess). It does NOT contain directories for "Collaborate," (another sample skin which I know is installed), or for my stupid skins (versions 1 & 2).I don't want to bug my new host too much, but should I ask for expanded access? Could these skins be stored elsewhere? Thanks in advance for any input.

Hello Ian,

If your hosting provider has a backup service you may want to ask them about restoring the the site for you.  Alternatively I found a post by Sebastian Leupold that describes a solution.  You can find it here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/B...

However I would strongly suggest backing up your site before attempting this.
