Hi

I have a  .net masterpage site with forms authentication handled by dotnets built in AspNetSQLMembershipProvider using SqlmembershipProvider. 

I am totally new and would like dnn to use but not modify my existing users and my existing SQLServer. 

Any help would be fab

Try setting InstallMemberRole to false in the web.config and ensure that the 2 connection strings point to the same database that your existing details are in (note: this functionality is very, very rarely used [i havent looked at it since 2005] so I would recommend you take a lot of care and backup your database first in case it does not work as expected)
