I have not setup DNN yet but I;m very interested. So I have a few questions before I venture into DNN. Currently Im using WAMP and were a very small business. I know WAMP very well and its super easy to use. Problem is my VB skills have grown over the years and I;m ready to learn the ASP side of VB and I'm told DNN is a great CMS product for ASP. Problem is I'm complete newb to ASP side of VB and webpage building with VB. So how do you "import" your webpages into DNN software? Does it treat them as a module or something? Sorry for the newb questions.

If you want custom coded pages, you can make them part of a module and then upload the module to your DNN installation. This is a good way of doing it since you'll be able to add this module to other installs of DNN you may have.

Here's a good module template to use:

Note: DNN does not run on a WAMP installation. You need IIS, SQL Server and (if you are going to write your own extensions) ASP.Net - and there is no difference in using VB.Net or C#.

When you are experienced in PHP, it should not be easier to switch to C# instead of refreshing old VBS knowledge and trying to switch to VB.Net.

Best wishes
