I have created a child portal, using 6.0.1,  and installed a default login module.  If I'm getting the following error message, prior to logging in:

A critical error has occurred. You have been redirected to this default Login Page because the Login Page set for this website does not contain a valid DotNetNuke Account Login module, or the permissions have not been set correctly.

what am I doing wrong?

Thank you,

Hi Jim,

What solution did you find?  I'm experiencing the same problem. Many thanks for sharing your solution.

Hi Lisa,

This problem happened because you set a custom page as default login page without DNN built-in login module on it, this is a protection measure of DNN to throw that error in case you have a accident operation.

So the solution will be: add DNN built-in module on that page and set it only visible to administrators.

Hi Eileen,

Thank you for the reply.  I had added the DNN module users and roles (security roles) to the page with only the Administrator able to view and edit the module.  I'm still receiving the error on the page when I click the flag for any translation.

I had previously created a registration page and set the default login in site settings to that registration page.  I changed the default login page to none selected and am still receiving the error.

What other settings should I check?  Did I add the wrong DNN built-in module to the page?  Are there any DNN objects to add to the skin besides the localization object?

 Thank you again.

 Lisa
