hi, currently installed the community edition of DNN, can I know:
1 the difference btw community and professional edition of DNN
2. features of community and professional edition
3. can so many sites be built on professional edtion like community
4. disadvantage of community
5. can community edition be upgraded to professional without having to uninstall it?

1. Pro Editon is Community Edition with advanced HTML module (workflow) and a couple of additional modules for simple Ecommerce, Document Management and Spider based search as well as providers for caching, granular permissions and a few more.

4. a couple of modules and providers not included (but provided by 3rd party vendors)
5. yes - but downgrade from Pro to Community is not supported.

when upgrading from CE to PE will your previous websites be lost? how do I get to maintain the existing sites I already have on my CE? am thinking of doing this please.

while upgrading all your content should be preserved. anyhow, it is a very good practice to start with a full backup of the database and all files.
