Hello.

I added a .pdf to a secured folder AND secured database (on a child portal), hyperlinked both files, and still get the HTTP 404 error message.  If the roles are set to "All Users", am I missing anything else?  If there is no need for a user to log in to see these files, but I still want to protect them so they don't pop up on a Google/Bing seach, what else can I try?

Still looking for assistance with this.  Anyone?

Yes.  I'm linking to a .pdf in a secured folder.  I've tested with a parent and child portal.  In both instances, the url shows up as www.websitename.com/LinkClick.aspx?fi....  The parent portal works.  The child portal gives me:

"Server Error in '/' Application.

 The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /LinkClick.aspx"

I followed Chris Hammond's video instructions on secured folders and databases to the letter.  On the surface, everything looks correct.  Am I missing something?  A setting somewhere? Do secured folders just not work in child portals?
