I am trying to center a table on my site using HTML.

When I code the <div align="center"> in the DNN rich text editor it is being rewritten as <div style="text-align: center;">

I was able to use <table align="center> to get things to work in IE but not in Chrome.

Also the the <table><tr><td><ol><li> is not rendering numbered lists. There appears to be a slight indent but no number shows.(the numbers show in the editor but not on the rendered site in EI or Chrome)

My skin is Aphelia -three column but I also tried the two column.

Any ideas on how to solve these two problems using the built in html editor?

My next step was going to be manually coding the home.aspx page in notepad+ to see if it would hold. But I really do not want to have to do that with every page.

Mike,

Couple of thoughts... could you do it with DIVs instead of tables? If so you could use CSS with margin: 0 auto; to center the DIV.

If you're opposed to doing it with DIVs...  you could try just the plain "center" tag <center>  </center>

Thanks -
I thought I had already tried <center></center>. I guest that must have did it wrong.

It's not that I'm against CSS but I'm very new to it as I left tech back 2000 when I left Microsoft so I'm having to relearn. Plus, most of the people I work with have no clue about CSS but do know some basic HTML. I have to be able to tell them how to get things done with the tools they know.

Any idea about the issue with the HTML editor and the numbered lists? That is not working in IE or Chrome?
Peace
