Michael, it would be helpful to get to know, which issues you encountered to form your opinion.

Original poster - Out of the box, and properly configured, DNN is not terrible. However, in the hands of an incompetent developer or designer, it can turn into a disaster. If you want to salvage this website do what the others suggested and tackle the issues one by one. Maybe look to hire an independent consultant who can give you an assessment, path to success and CMS training.

Any post that says something is bad should give reasons or examples. Otherwise it's not worth anything. People involved can take remedies or explain the current situation... or do nothing about it!
