Hello,

I have a couple of pages that host a monthly webcomic. The first page is the most current comic and the other is an archive of comics going back to 2010. I inherited these pages from another administrator so I was not involved in building them. Currently the comics are posted using the (outdated and unsupported) announcements module and the layout is altered with jquery. I would prefer to find a module that does not need to be modified and allows me to sort the comics by category somehow.

Some candidates that I have read about are: Documents, Form and List, Gallery, Media, and Repository. I have not used any of these modules and I am not in a position to install them on my own for testing. I will have to make a recommendation as to which modules will be installed when we upgrade from DNN5 to DNN 6 or 7 in the near future. If anyone can make a recommendation of what to use or avoid I would greatly appreciate it.

IMHO Form and List should be easy to be configured according to your needs.

How would I reconfigure the module? Specifically is it done in GUI or do I need to code and if so in what language?

defining fields and default layout is configured via UI, advanced views may be created as XSL script, based on HTML, using the built in XSL generator.

I have been told today that we are approved to migrate the site to DNN 6 in a few weeks and I will be recommending that the Form and List module be installed with it. It's too bad that my organization is not interested in paid modules, all I really need is a three column gallery for displaying the thumbnails of about 50 comics with one new release each month.
