Can I use MVC4 and DNN together?

DNN currently does not support MVC, you may use either MVP or MVVM (using Knockout) pattern.
I suggest using Christoc templates for starting module development (http://christoctemplate.codeplex.com/)

It is technically possible to run MVC alongside DNN however, it would effectively be a separate application.  MVC applications are built using the Web App Project model while DNN is built using the Web Site Project model.  Once of the biggest issues you will face is configuring the URL rewriter in DNN to ignore the MVC routes.

I really enjoy the route that MVC 5 is taking - development is so quick and easy... I might have to try and bridge the 2 somehow
