With DNN3 there was good documentation like:

Abstracting the Membership and Profile Components _3.3_.pdf

DotNetNuke Client API Client Callback.pdf

DotNetNuke Client API Developing WebControls.pdf

DotNetNuke Client API DragDrop.pdf

DotNetNuke Client API MinMax.pdf

DotNetNuke Client API.pdf

DotNetNuke Code Access Security.pdf

DotNetNuke Data Access.pdf

DotNetNuke Friendly Urls.pdf

DotNetNuke Host Template.pdf

DotNetNuke Installation Guide.pdf

DotNetNuke Localization.pdf

DotNetNuke Module Definitions Enhancement.pdf

DotNetNuke Module Developers Guide.pdf

DotNetNuke Module Localization Guide.pdf

DotNetNuke Navigation WebControls.pdf

DotNetNuke Portal Template.pdf

DotNetNuke Scheduler.pdf

DotNetNuke Search Engine.pdf

DotNetNuke Skinning.pdf

DotNetNuke Web Farm Support.pdf

DotNetNuke Wizard Framework.pdf

Enhancing Membership _3.3_.pdf

Enhancing Profile _3.3_.pdf

Enhancing Roles _3.3_.pdf

Hardening DotNetNuke Installations.pdf

Secure Module Development.pdf

Is this tradition of really want to help lost with all the changing?

Or are these kind of pdf's somewhere rat holed in the website? Anyways its not at the white papers at "module development" keyword:

that documentation is mostly no longer available, primarily as much of it was not updated after 2005-2007 - we started to use the wiki (http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki) more (though http://www.dnnsoftware.com/videos and http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community/... are also popular). Note: I have a request in to get the "legacy" documentation and add it to somewhere on dnnsoftware.com as whilst the material is old, some of it is still valid

if you have a need to get one of the old documents (most of the content is still valid), just contact me.

(it might have been removed for business interests)

I wanted to reply! I always make a backup of what I write in forums on notepad because you never know what the session time out is, sometimes 10, sometimes 20, default 30 minutes. In Chrome I did now 20 tries always got the "AW ... reload page" message and everything was gone! In IE I cannot paste my notepad backup in this reply forum post. I will fight this chaos dragon while I still have the muscle!

I do not think its my computer.

Hang on!

OK only thing left is to retype the message :-(

I cannot paste in IE but I can still send!

CRUX was: DNN3 VS development server; DNN7 IIS VS Module templates Christoc; That has changed? Right?

I hope that the increased complexity of web technology and consequently the dancing on the volcano of the technocalyps, defying the chaos dragon, will not prevent the sending of this message
