I have installed v7.03.02 on a new server with the intention of evaluating the new UI.  We have been using v4.07 for several years and want to upgrade due to browser compatibility issues.

My biggest problem is with the white secondary panel that pops-up for login and for site editing.  On the surface it seems to make for a lot more keystrokes to do the same job. 

When you login, you get a miniature version of your home page with the additional menu items you have rights to, but then what do you do?  I typically close out the pop-up window and I'm back at my home page as if I hadn't logged in as yet.  If I refresh my home page, then I become logged in.  I have the same issue on page edits as well - you need to close the white pop-up window and refresh your page to see the changes.

I am using IE 11 and Chrome version 38.0.2125.104 and both react the same.

Is this normal?  What am I missing here?  The new interface seems to be so much more cumbersome to use.

Simon - I wasn't 100% clear - For this go around I am looking at a fresh first time install of DNN using the stock skin that comes with it.  I wanted to initially see how the UI differed from our current version before I mapped out an upgrade plan.

Turning off the modal pop-up definitely helps. 

The other issue I have encountered is that I cannot paste text from Notepad into the Rich Text Editor box of the WYSIWYG editor.  If I change it to Basic Text Box mode, then I can paste just fine.  again this sound like a JS issue to me.  I am using IE 11 in regular mode (NOT compatibility mode).
