I'm new to DNN and am not sure where the best place to look for modules is. Does anyone know if there is a decent silent auction module out there. Preferably open source. I'm investigating DNN for the website for my kid's elementary school and want to know if I can get the functionality we need.

I tried searching for such a module, but wasn't able to find one.

I'm not sure what you mean about a 'silent Auction' but, As Beth said there are a couple of good modules on the DnnStore that cater for classifieds, if you mean with bidding I can't think of one.

If its just a catalog of items that you, yourself want to input into the system there is an open source module called NBStore that is a commerce module that can be used as a catalog as well ( without payments or checkout).

Another solution is to use Form & List. You can set up a form for people to fill in and then the item gets added to a list, it is very versatile module, worth a look at. The input form is a bit standard but yo can style the list the way you want it to look.
