I'm a newbie to DNN Platform.  I've installed DNN 7.0.4 on my local machine and have hooked it up with SQL Server 2014 (on db server).  The default web site (local) came up in browser after couple of adjustments to permissions etc.  I wanted to test out how to create additional site, so I added another site from Host -> Site Management menu.  Created new site (Parent), no problem.  Checked IIS (local) and saw new folders (1, 1-System) created under Portals folder.  Checked that Database table dbo.Portals had record of the new site.

Questions:

  1. How do I access the 2nd site?  As Super User and as regular user?  When site was created there was a link in message "Click Here To Access the new site", but when clicking on it got "Sorry 'Site2' does not exist".  When I click on the Site Aliases from Host->Site Management, I get page not found.
  2. Will both sites have their own set of users? or can they share user accounts?
  3. When I deleted the 2nd site, the folder "1" under Portals was deleted, but folder "1-System" was not.  Is that normal?  The database records were removed.

you need to make sure, the IIS website is bound to the domain address of the second website as well (and the name server pointing to your machine).
