I am attempting to set up a DNN site in Azure as a fairly simple proof of concept, primarily to get some  hands on experience with both DNN and Azure to aid in technical decisions going forward. I started, rightly or wrongly, by creating a data server VM with SQL Server 2016 SP1 Developer and created an empty database on that server. Then I went to the Azure Marketplace and selected the DNN Platform service. When I try to configure it, it says "No database found" and then when creating a database, it says no data server found. Will the DNN service only see a database or server created as part of the DNN service set up? Or what do I need to do to get it to see the server and database that I already have set up in Azure?

Thanks,

Zoe
