I am trying to disable the esc button on my dnnModal.  I can't seem to find a property for the dnnModal.  When the popup comes up the user can hit esc to drop the popup.  I'd like to disable this feature.  Outside of hacking the JS to disable the esc button presses I can't achieve this with the modal.

The dnnModal is simply an extension of the jQuery modal plugin. You should be able to achieve this using similar methods as the jQuery modal. Have you tried this yet?

Hi Will,

Yes I saw that the dnnModal was an extension of the jQuery modal.  We are running an older version of DNN (7.##) and jQuery 1.##.  Not sure if this was accounted for then.  I looked in the minified js of the dnnModal (dnn.modalpopup.js) and it has several properties none of which control the back screen or special cases for when the 'esc' key is pressed. The jQuery uses the data-dismissible attribute, and you'd set it to false.  However, this wasn't working for our implementation which is highly custom.

I ended up using the data-keyboard attribute and setting it to false, similar to the dismissible attribute but solely focuses on the keyboard press of the 'esc' key.

Thanks Again,

Dylan
