Hi anyone,
I am implementing a site using DNN 5.4.1 community version. The site was working well during set up and content updates and such. However once we went live and made the URL known to everyone, The site started coming to a crawl. It is extremely slow to the point that it take minutes just to load up a page. 

I am running it on IIS7.0 on a Windows 2008 server. What can I do to make it run faster? Page Blaster? Anything! I am at the end of my rope here and the client is chasing me for a fix.

Thank you for your reply. I did as you suggested. I even installed PageBlaster free version to the site and stopped using CISS.Flash Players. Instead used Flash within the Text/HTML module. The website takes quite a while to load but it seems faster once it loads up the first time. I need to tackle the first load issue which is puzzling as other websites within the same server box does not experience the same lag as this website does. 

According to Google Analytics the site has had 26k visits on 19th May alone, so it is really a heavily utilized site. I am wondering if I made a bad call on using DNN as the CMS. Please anyone? DNN gods? I am at your mercy. 

initial load time might be caused by the jit compile, because a web site is unloaded from memory after some time of inactivity (by default 20 minutes). this can be configured for the app pool in IIS. this delay can be reduced by uninstallin any xtension you don't need.
