Hi there,

I have typicall web application using VS 2008. I have one folder in my root application called "Secure", it can have .doc,.docx,.pdf files in it. I want to secure this folder so that anonymous user can not access the file by using direct url.

I used following tag in web.config

<location path="Secure">system.web>authorization>deny users="?" />authorization>system.web>location>system.web>

Inititally it seems to be working on devepment machine (Win xp sp3) later stopped. Now i found another solution to be done in IIS. By addng mappings in iis for doc, docx, pdf. It again works locally. I implemented same thing on server (Server 2003) , though it protect against unknow access but even the authorized user can not access after entering user name and password.

Kindly help me as soon as possible.
