I realize DNN does not limit how many concurrent users can be on a shared hosted site, but i am wondering roughly how many concurrent users I can support on Shared hosting before switching to a dedicated server. How many concurrent users can be on a single dedicated server (roughly).

I realize there are factors like how many other people are on shared hosting, how fast is the dedicated server, etc, but i was hoping for order of magnitude numbers.

There really is no way to give an estimate as it depends on so many factors including site size, pages, users, modules etc as well as webserver and database server specs. I recommend you get some specs for your shared hosting and create a test virtual of the same size and run some load tests against it. Note: dotnetnuke.com used to run on a single (old and not well specc'ed) webserver with a single database server and was able to handle 1000+ concurrent users without much issue.
