DNN Version 5.4.1

Current Friendly URL Settings:
.*DesktopDefault.aspx(.*)              ~/Default.aspx$1
  .*EditModule.aspx(.*)                  ~/Default.aspx$1
  .*/TabId/(\d+)(.*)/Logoff.aspx      ~/Admin/Security/Logoff.aspx?tabid=$1
  .*/TabId/(\d+)(.*)/rss.aspx          ~/rss.aspx?TabId=$1
  [^?]*/TabId/(\d+)(.*)                      ~/Default.aspx?TabId=$1

The issue:
if I go to www.MyWebsite.com/Career/tabid/59/Def...   this will work.
If I go to www.MyWebsite.com/Default.aspx?tabid=59             this will NOT work and redirect to Home page all the time.

If I turn off the Friendly URL feature, then the whole website is NOT working.

I have some 3rd party module that are still using the TabID URL and that is causing the site to not work as expected.  It has been working before but it stopped.

Can you point me to the right direction to find out where to fix this issue?

I would recommend using Ifinity's URL rewriter, even their free one, will likely fix your issues.

hmmm. Are you talking about the $120 iFinity Url Master 2.01 module on Snow Covered. I didn't see the free version. There's a free trial but no free version.

I was expecting DNN to work without adding a new module. It has been working for a long time by adding the tabID as a parameter and many 3rd party modules are still using it.  Especially that turning the Friendly URL OFF makes the site not working.  There has to be something else.

I have seen this installation work before. I probably have just changed 1 item or maybe a 3rd party module made a change to the DNN install.  I'm trying to find where to direct my investigation.

there seems to be an issue in your web site configuration, using /Default.aspx?TabId=59 should work under all conditions, even with other other qs params added. I have no clue though, what is causing this issue, please check the DNN event log for error details or use fiddler in your browser to examine communication between client and server.
