Hi everybody, is there a way to put in a DNN site homepage the Google +1 button? I've tried to copy the code provided by Google in an HTML Module, but it doesn't work. Do I miss something? Is there a bettere procedure? Thank you, Max

The Code provided by google is SCRIPT based - which frankly is pretty average on googles part - FACEBOOK worked out a long time ago the SCRIPT injection is a bad thing for end users.  Many of whom dont have permission to directly inject script into their pages.

This is the reason you are having issues - dnn by default will automatically strip out ANY script code that a user tries to enter into the HTML editor module.

If you are running dnn60x - the quickest option is to turn of script filtering in the HTML Editor Manager.  This will let you add script code to your HTML modules - and as such include the script code from google.

If this is not an option - then you could look at using an IFRAME inside your HTML page - messy but it is a workaround.

Thank you Wes,
in our production environment we have 5.6.0 and the IFrame workaround worked well.
In our development environment we have 6.0.0 but I cannot find the "HTML Editor Manager" where turn off script filtering.

There was a known BUG in dnn600 that resulted in the new Dnn RadEditor not being correctly installed.

If it was installed correctly - the HTML Editor Manager will be located in the HOST menu.

You have a couple of options - you can install the dnn600 radeditor manually - by downloading the new Install version of dnn600 and copying the installer from there - OR - I would strongly recommend you upgrade to dnn601 - it has a large number of fixes and patches that resolve many known issues with dnn600.

The dnn601 upgrade will automatically install the correct radeditor  -  NOTE -  when the install completes you WILL need to open the HTML Editor Manager - and select the dotnetnuke.radeditor as your new html provider - the installed does NOT automatically switch over from your old HTML provider.

This wiki article has info on manually installed the radeditor for dnn600 - AND also has some other tips on how you can customize the user experience with the new provider.
