My sites keep reverting to the above page. I can restart IIS and recycle the application pools, but sooner or later they revert back to this page. Any ideas what may be causing this?

typically that occurs when the connection to the database is offline/unavailable, so i'd recommend checking that.

Hi Brent,

I struggled with this issue for months. Are you on a shared host? I am and in my case when the host restarted the SQL service while the site was active it would break the connection to the database and display the under construction page. When this happens the site is not properly shutdown. The site is unloaded from the server memory but it doesn't know to try and reconnect because it was not shut down and the app pool is not recycled. I hired Johnathan Sheely to develop a custom module that will continuously monitor the connection to the database. and if lost it will properly shut down the application. This will then allow the site to be restarted once the connection is re-established. This will all happen automatically and I will receive an email when there is an occurrence. I have also customized the page that is displayed to the users if this site loses it connection. Jonathan has made the module available on CodePlex. I have just installed and started using the module and have not yet had any occurrences, so I'm still waiting to see if it will work as expected. Jonathan did test it and is confident it will. You can download the module here: http://dnndbmon.codeplex.com/

HTH.
