We are expecting a group of students will be creating/registering users for each of them in a lab.

We will give a walkthru of some of the features of DNN and at the time of creating 1 user for each they may end up doing at a time.

Just wanted to verify if DNN will be able to handle it or if there will be any issues.

After registering they may also add a few modules and just play around all from a lab.

The total students could be anywhere between 50 to 100.

Just wondering if anyone has tried this anytime before.

Thanks.

I have an automated process that can register about 70 users, and do other stuff, in well under a minute. I'll be surprised if DNN even notices.

Thanks Richard for the info.

I am on arvixe.com hosting on shared business plan and per my understanding the app pool has 500 MB.

A few days back i ran into app pool getting stopped on shared economic hosting which has 250 MB and it was a bit embarassing facing these issues in a group of students.

I am a bit worried about such issues.

I am wondering if you could share your hosting info just to give an idea for me.

Thanks.

This site sits on my own server up in the roof space in my home.

If you have a bunch of students, all in the same classroom, why not host the classroom site on a machine in the front of the room?

It eliminates a lot of variables and gives you a lot more control. Does not work so well if they are all remote from you. If you have a few remotes, put them on the shared host.

When you say they may add modules - do you mean to add a pre-installed module to a page, or to install? If they are sharing an instance they can't realisitcally all install the same module.

Best wishes,
