Hello,

by experience each new major version of DNN has seen increased use of resoruces, in particular live memory. As a result, it does not take many pages, much traffic and/or many portals (now called sites) to fall outside the typical shared hosting package and cause the frequent restarts (hence fornt-end slowness) that many admin are reporting in this forum..

Do we know what the situation for dnn7 is? Can somebody give an estimate difference between a dnn6 and the same instance upgraded to 7 (beta or RC), give or take?

Thank you in advance

Franco

My typical DNN 6.2.5 sites running 64 bit App Pool on .NET 4.5 sites use anything from 190,000KB to 290,000 KB Memory

My typical DNN 7.0 sites running 64 bit App Pool on .NET 4.5 sites use anything from 140,000KB to 240,000 KB Memory

It is early days but I'm hoping these values remain true as the memory footprint was starting to get a real problem and causing DNN to have a competitive weakness.
