I have DNN v7 CE edition... My VMware virtual machine specs are below...  Can DNN v7 CE with a dedicated app pool handle 10,000 concurrent users?  I have a gigabit NIC plugged into a gigabit port on the datacenter's core router which has gigabit internet...

2 x 2.6 Ghz procs
6 GBs RAM (1 GB available and I can add 2 more GBs if needed)
RAID 10 array
dedicated app pools

it depends, what users are doing and how your IIS website is configured regarding compression and caching.
I) are we talking about registered users (logged in) or anonymous users?

It will be all anonymous users..  Most of the content will be fed via XML from another website...  The users will see the content.  click on the content link and then at that point it will be an iframe or some type of redirect for them to process the order.  The order processing is not done on my server.  There is also a good chance the content I spoke of above is also an iframe..  But...  It will be anonymous users.

for anonymous users, you may configure IIS to cache most of the content, which should result in best performance, even for large numbers of visitors. I would also enable IIS compression to reduce traffic and optimize page load time.

okay..  This weekend I'm going through the various Technet guides for performance tuning on IIS 7.  I also plan to enable performance counters to see what type of performance my .NET app is getting...  The data center agrees to allowing me to use up to 500 mbps...  This will result in really slow page loads if it ever reaches 10,000 concurrent users...  Most like it will be around 2,000 - 4,000 but it's hard to say.

Thanks!
